Education Loan (Hitimu)
In Kenya, education is of key importance and every family has a great desire to educate the children. However, many children drop out of schools and colleges due to inability of parents to raise the required fees. Many parents sell their only and hard earned properties such as land and livestock, eventually, they may only afford to educate one child while the rest drop out of school. This leaves them poorer and more vulnerable.
School fees also drains businesses as business people draw a lumpsome from the business which hampers business growth and also affects the family economic well being.
School fees loans are geared towards assisting parents out of this trap and enabling them to pay gradually, without loosing their hard earned investments or draining their businesses. The education loans are intended to boost the education sector in Kenya.
