Objectives
To conduct research to influence the formulation and implementation of pro-poor socio-economic policies guided by the human development paradigm which puts people at the centre of the development process; To mobilize and where necessary enhance the capacity of civil society to participate actively in pro-poor policy formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the impact of such policies; To facilitate dialogue and debate between and amongst civil society, communities, private sector, development partners, legislators and Government, at local, national and international levels around policies, strategies, budgets and actions with a bearing on poverty reduction in Zimbabwe;
 
To speak out in support of pro-poor policies, strategies and commitments by duty bearers at various levels - such as MDGs, and vice versa, that impacts on poverty reduction in Zimbabwe

Mission Statement
The PRF Trust mission is to encourage national dialogue and action on issues relating to poverty as well as facilitate research on strategies for sustainable poverty reduction in Zimbabwe. Vision A Zimbabwe Free from Poverty in which every human being lives a dignified, secure and decent life that conduce sustainable human development.
