Our aim is to showcase the positive side of Zimbabwe. We endeavour to empower people by encouraging them to work and be self-sufficient. We are an independent, non-government charity, working directly with communities in Zimbabwe to help them to be self-sufficient. We are based in Abergavenny, Wales UK. Our work involves raising money for community projects and small-scale business start ups, organising and delivering craft workshops. We generate funds to support people in need in Zimbabwe mainly by organising fundraising events around the UK with an African theme. We also support schools and development projects in rural Zimbabwe. We have a Community Interest Company, associated to the charity, trading in African arts and crafts made by artists in Zimbabwe. We work on the principles of fair trade, and by dealing directly with the people who make the products, we make sure that they receive a fair price for their goods.
