We are based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, and specialise in Theatre for Development (TfD), using dance, drama and music as a process towards informing and empowering local communities in Zimbabwe and overseas. We have an annual UK Touring programme hosted by Grassroots Arts UK (GAUK). GTC works with a number of organisations from local businesses and government ministries to large NGOs offering performances and hosting training/education programmes specialising in the use of TfD. In recent years, Grassroots has been focusing on its annual programme the 'Sanganisai Childrens Festival (SCF)'. SCF aims to bring together various schools and communities from the rural areas of Masvingo to share through performances, workshops and discussions about issues relating to tuberculous (TB) and HIV/AIDS.
