African Joy Limited formerly known as Chims Fashion was established in Lusaka in 1980 by Joyce Mibenge. Although trained as a secretary and teacher Joyce has always had a passion for tailoring resulting in her obtaining a diploma in professional sewing whilst in Canada. On her return to Zambia Joyce turned her hobby into a business and opened Chims Fashions specialising in tailoring which in 2006 became African Joy.
The principals of African Joy are Mrs. Mibenge together with three of her daughters who are all professionals working in the private sector. African Joy has ten full time staff comprising of one General Manager, five tailors, two ladies for bead work and two sales and marketing assistants. Skilled temporary staff are on standby to assist with very large or express orders.
Our Vision
Africa Joy's vision is to sell quality products made by Zambians, from African materials for both the Zambian market and the export market to enjoy.
