Papula Paper is a community based organization based at the Equator in Mpigi District, Uganda. We create beautiful handmade paper items using both natural and recycled materials. Our products are available for export, or for retail sale at our shop at the Equator and at our sister shop, Uganda Crafts 2000 Ltd., in Kampala. At Papula Paper, we are serious about our commitment to our artisans. We abide by the principles of fair trade and are a member of the newly-formed Uganda Federation for Alternative Trade (UGAFAT). We also give employment to some of the most marginalized people in our community, especially the disabled.
