Nexus biodiesel ltd is a private limited company established in Uganda and our business mainly entails the renewable bio-fuels production from Jatropha.
 
Nexus biodiesel is already established in Uganda and we have established 3 square miles of Jatropha plantations and more land is in the process of acquisition. Phase (ii) of our operations entails the construction of class-A oil refinery with the pre-existing export lines already established.
 
The main business objective focuses on encouraging farmers to cultivate Jatropha individually and collectively for available markets, to encourage entrepreneurs to establish oil mills in rural areas, to link groups of farmers to agricultural processing institutions and investors so that they can finance such a project and provide information of research findings and enable the implementation of the results, and to examine the potential field for Jatropha business activities, assessing the value of Jatropha and its products to the community in rural areas and its most appropriate way of establishing the business e.g. through 'Out growing farmers groups' and maximising rural development through the same approach.
