The Kampala Kids League (KKL) is a sports programme founded in 1998 to help boys and girls aged 4-14+ years in Kampala to improve their lives through sport.
Trevor Dudley, the founder of KKL felt that children needed the opportunity to play sports in Uganda and so he conceived the idea of developing an inclusive, voluntary, community based sports league for all comers along the lines which he had been familiar with as Football Commissioner in Jordan's Amman Little League. In order to cater for large numbers of kids, the concentration was on offering team sports and the sports on offer were to be popular, varied and alternated to include football, basketball and baseball and other sports by petition.
