Greenfields (U) Ltd. was the first company to understand the potential of the Nile Perch as a substitute to the depleting stocks of traditional white fish and invest in a model processing plant. This investment came as a result of the stabilization of Uganda's economic and political environment in the late 1980's. From its private fish landing harbor on the Entebbe shoreline, to its Entebbe processing plant, to the runways of Entebbe International Airport, Greenfields receives, processes, packs, and ships fish, all within a radius of five kilometers. Chilled and frozen Nile Perch and Tilapia products reach European and American distribution networks with delightful freshness.
