Environmental Management for Livelihood Improvement - Bwaise Facility
Environmental Management for Livelihood Improvement Bwaise Facility (EMLI) is a registered environmental non-governmental and non-profit making organization started by a group of eminent scholars and policy makers with a focus on environmental issues. EMLI is one of Uganda's local environmental NGOs accredited to intergovernmental organizations and conventions such as the UNFCCC, UNCCD and UNEP. EMLI's agenda is to empower local communities formulate and implement development plans and programmes that promote sustainable development.
EMLI was established by a group of eminent scholars and policy makers in Uganda with a focus on environmental issues at national level such as environmental governance, climate change, forests, chemicals and solid waste, biodiversity, water and sanitation. Our vision is for an empowered, healthy and self sustaining community that focuses on forms and processes of development that do not compromise the integrity of the environment and meets the needs of the most vulnerable.
