Like no other place on the planet, the Mwalimu cultural center is a place conceptualized from complete patriotism. Of all the African nations, perhaps Tanzania has the most peaceful and more democratic political system. This has been made possible by all Tanzanians with the leadership of the person mostly known as Mwalimu; the first president of the United Republic of Tanzania, the late Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere. Tanzania has a rich history, which originates from the Bantu people. The Mwalimu Cultural Center is the gateway to Tanzanian cultures. We realize that most people, including Tanzanians, would never have enough time/money to visit each part of Tanzania to see how the people live ...this is why MCC exists, to bring the cultures to you. We plan to depict, in their natural settings, different tribes and cultures in various parts of Tanzania and to give our guests the most comprehensive tour of Tanzania.
Strategically located between Moshi and Arusha, and only 10 miles from Kilimanjaro International Airport, MCC will be a great resource not just to the tourists, but to the people of Tanzania as well. Equipped with the state of the art computer system, with a comprehensive database with topics ranging from government, culture, environment and world events as it relates to Tanzanian history, the MCC will truly be one of a kind. Using its database system, guests will be able to search the database for specific information about a person or event. The database will also include short movie clips from various events in Tanzania's history ... to relive the days and moments that changed and shaped us as a nation. The database search center will be located in the museum/library located within the center itself, which will have large screens playing various videos and movies about Tanzania.
