Stormsriver Adventures is a rural based eco adventure company, situated in the scenic Village of Stormsriver. It's surrounded by indigenous forest which is located along the Garden Route. The company has been involved in poverty alleviation by way of new job creation in the region since 1998.
 
The development of unique adventure activities such as the "Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour" has been the "vehicle" whereby the company has made a significant difference to the lives of many poor community members in the form of a school feeding scheme, HIV Aids counseling and an extensive animal welfare program. To date 900 community members have been trained and introduced into eco adventure tourism.
 
Stormsriver Adventures redistributes about 60% of its annual turn over back into the community in the form of salaries, wages and local development. A committed environmental ethic is strictly adhered to throughout the operation and we were one of the first Fair Trade company's to be accredited in 2003.
