The Light From Africa Foundation generates critically required funding for South Africa's vulnerable children. We aim to achieve this objective through FUNDRAISING as well as the sale of art and products at our ART HUBS and the creation of BRIGHT IDEAS for sale to the retail and wholesale markets.
Our first ART HUB is now open to the public between 10:00am and 16:00pm from Monday to Saturday. Join us at Art in the Forest to celebrate South African talent whilst harnessing creativity for good.
In addition to regular FUNDRAISING events and campaigns in Cape Town, Johannesburg, London and New York; local South African artists and designers can now make a huge difference to the community simply by choosing to exhibit and sell their work at one of our ART HUBS , the first one being 'Art in the Forest' in Cape Town. 100% of profits raised through the sale of art and products will provide financial assistance for homes and other care for South Africa's vulnerable children.
The BRIGHT IDEAS campaign is a call to the art & design community to collaborate with us! Artists can use our studio, work with our in-house artists, develop projects and works of art that can be sold to the wholesale and retail markets in South Africa. Our studio is also available for commissioned artwork in the ceramic medium, including objet d'art, wall installations and functional products such as bowls, vases or teapots. All profits will go directly to Fikelela Children Care, in Khayelitsha.
In addition to the funds raised for vulnerable children, the BRIGHT IDEAS campaign also focuses on job creation, skills training, career development and sustainability.
