It provides annual, practical-based learnerships for unemployed people from the local community in the fields of Fynbos landscaping, horticulture, life skills and ecotourism. The aim of the college is to promote nature-based sustainable livelihoods through training and skills development in these fields. The college has a nursery that specialises in indigenous plants (especially Fynbos), indigenous landscaping and restoration.
