Established in 1993 with a mission to raise the standard of guiding in Africa, EcoTraining is the pioneer and leader of professional Field Guide and other nature training programmes. For more than a decade, we have been sending people of all ages into the African wilderness to learn about the environment in exciting, in-depth and sensitive ways and to find out what it really takes to become a game ranger or a field guide. Our community based projects involve training people surrounding sensitive areas; they are trained to go into the tourism industry as Field Guides or data collectors for research and conservation projects. We have community training projects in 3 countries that is funded by the other products that we sell. Some projects (Community training) is also funded by other role players (Lewa Conservancy, Distell )
