Nibakure Children's Village (NCV), with the help of the widows of Rwanda, will provide orphaned children of Rwanda with safe housing, a foster family, healthcare, education and career training. Our mission to the children of Rwanda is to "Let Them Grow, Give Them Hope" (Nibakure in Kinyarwanda).
 
 
Vision
The vision of NCV is to create/build a village (orphanage) of family-style homes in Rwanda that will house up to 150 children ages 6 years old and up. The goal of NCV is to nurture ten children per home, living with mother and aunt figures. NCV will focus on the whole child's needs through on-site education, healthcare, counseling, spiritual development and career planning. NCV's desire is to participate in the worldwide effort to build bridges for a unified and globalized Rwanda.
 
Goals
NCV's plans draw heavily from the guidance and priorities of the national strategic plan, Rwanda Vision 2020, drafted in 2000 by the Republic of Rwanda's Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, and which continues as the government's roadmap for future development.
 
Nibakure Children's Village has studied Rwanda's Vision 2020 and integrated three (3) of the six (6) pillars into its planning and action strategy: (a) Human resource development and a knowledge based economy; (b) Private Sector-led Development; (c) Infrastructure Development.
 
As an organization we support the government's efforts to fundamentally transform Rwanda into a middle-income country by the year 2020. NCV believes that this is one of the most important aspects of Vision 2020. The development of human capacity is the key to the future for Rwanda. Education will be a priority at the village.
