SNV's actions have strengthened local government and Civil Society's capacities in community development, participatory planning and budgeting. SNV has also played an important role in the revival of the cashew sector through its support for small scale processing units, including access to fair trade markets.
 
 
With the shift from project implementation to capacity development service provision, new programmes were opened in Beira and Maputo in 2004.
 
SNV Mozambique's focus is on horticulture value chain development , pro-poor tourism, education, and water and sanitation.
