La Vanille R‚serve des Mascareignes is first of all a place where you can stroll through over 3,5 hectares of lush greenery.
You will follow a natural trail surrounded by beautiful palm and banana trees, giant bamboos, giving you the impression of being in the middle of a tropical forest. In this stunning environment, you will discover various animal species from the Mascarenas islands (Mauritius, Rodrigues, Reunion) as well as from other islands of the Indian Ocean.
Our guides will explain you while walking throughout the Reserve where 1500 Nile crocodiles are reared. After leaving our crocodilian friends, you can see the giant tortoises, and meet 275 kgs Domino our eldest tortoise of 95 years old.
Visit our insectarium which has one of the best private collections in the world with 23000 species.
