HCAG Mokhatlo oa Likereke Metseng ea Metsi a Lihlaba
Background: HCAG was established in 1987 following the signing of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project Treaty in 1986. It was initiated by the Lesotho clergy who were concerned about the socio-political and environmental problems likely to result from the project in highlands communities. It is an ecumenical organization acting on behalf of churches in Lesotho and serving the people affected by the Lesotho Highlands Water Project.
Objectives: HCAG's purpose is to foster justice and development in the affected areas by means of education, advocacy and community organizing.
Activities: It provides research, monitoring, advocacy, lobbying and case work support to these communities
