The association was set up to try out and develop appropriate agricultural techniques to encourage high net yielding, economically viable self sustaining agricultural systems which integrate wildlife conservation with human food production in order to increase food production in the future without sacrificing animal welfare or wildlife. We now have 40 years of experience on how to do this on 6 experimental farms to date and principally help small farmers usually women in Africa how to produce food for their families, and remain independent of aid and credit. We also teach animal welfare science. One of our major tasks in Africa is educating people to consider animals interests in order to maximize their own and how to do this without spending money. We are now developing courses in South Africa for government approved qualifications to teach all interested practitioners and managers how to improving wild and domestic animal welfare & how to handler and teach them better without suffering. We also run courses for farmers and wildlife managers and workers at the centre in France and in Kenya , Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe and welcome enthusiastic hard working volunteers, and financial help to sponsor our students to attend these courses
