Background: FONGA has 150 member organizations. It aims to play a facilitating role by organizing workshops and seminars. Its thematic areas of activities include community development and the resolution of conflicts. Activities: In March 1997, FONGA cooperated with the American Friends Service Committee in a training workshop which revolved around nonviolent means of conflict resolution at the community level.
